MX-700 from Mizuno has a nickname that really promises a lot. A name like that should not let down – it is called “Hot Metal”. There is a large amount of expectations that are associated with a name like that, and it certainly lives up to them. The association with the name starts with the looks, and the way that it feels and plays certainly stacks up with the name.

Mizuno MX-700 replaced previous Mizuno model called MX-560. The club itself is made of titanium, with the employment of some carbon. Mizuno explain how the carbon and the titanium are welded together using plasma, and hence the “Hot Metal” name. The process of welding helps making the hitting area of the club bigger, thus making the club more forgiving than some other clubs that Mizuno have produced over the years.

As a driver, MX-700 is brilliant – it is hard to place a wrong shot with the MX-700 due to the low centre of gravity that takes care of off-centre shots. More and more of your shots will be placed down the middle of the fairway if you start playing with the new MX-700 driver from Mizuno.

Another minor detail that may help you mentally distinguish MX-700 from other clubs is the well defined decal at the crown. You can read more on this club here at this Mizuno MX-700 review.
